Kids These Days

Need a day trip suggestion? Or a vacation destination? Here's a shameless Michigan plug.
Run, drive, or fly, don't walk to this 2nd longest running dinner theatre in the United States. You will be entertained, wined, and dined. You will laugh and cry. You will not be sorry.
The Young Americans, based in Southern California, return to their summer home of 30 years: Boyne Highlands Dinner Theatre. During the year, casts of 40 extremely talented kids from all over the world tour across the globe teaching and mentoring 8-18 year old kids. They descend upon private, public, and alternative schools, prisons, and performing arts centers, changing kids lives through music, dance, drama, and their own individual, creative, and extra ordinary personalities.
Each year the Young Americans audition thousands of 15-25 year olds. Auditions are held after each workshop, dinner show, in Southern California, or by video, for overseas hopefuls. Only about 100 students are selected to join the group, which maintains approximately 250 members overall. The Boyne cast is 22 of their finest talent.
So the next time you worry about our youth and hear the very worst from the media, make these once in a lifetime plans and treat yourself to an evening of something a little different and found in only one place--almost heaven--Northern Michigan.
Tell me about some event, place, or unique offering from your state or country.
